The test was positive.

We’d planned to be done after three. Surprise!

Not at all equipped for four.

Just about to be done with diapers and (hopefully) approaching some semblance of regular sleeping.

Now, pulled back into it all.

But we would figure out this blessing as we always did.

At 8 weeks, we told Hannah.

I didn’t think she would be as excited as she was.

But she was, beautifully.

At 12 weeks, the day she brought home a drawing gift from school that included her holding the baby, was also the day there was no longer a heartbeat.
