September is in the air. Autumn is swiftly approaching and kids are going back to school. This time of year always makes me think of my many first loves of way back when. The many crushes, heartache, and nights giggling on the phone with girlfriends trying to guess who we each liked.

Therefore, I thought a fun writing prompt this month would be: First Love.

Love is subjective, of course. It’s all about what we felt at the time. Let’s hear about those unrequited crushes, middle school love affairs, the one you were destined to marry.

Perhaps it was a boy or girl you went to school with. Or a celebrity that hung on your wall. Maybe it was that sexy English teacher with the big blue eyes.

The two rules:

  1. It must be a memoir. A true story. Engage us!
  2. One of your tags should be “First Love.”

Happy writing — I’m looking forward to your stories!
