Early loves are essential, but big love is the goal for the soul
When the topic of “First Love” arises, many of us think back to those early days of innocent but determined discovery. Precious memories that fill the cups in the cabinet of cherished things spill over, and once more, ever so briefly, we get a taste.
Recalling that warm sensation, a mix of pride and astonishment at the first time, I made a girl blush. Or, holding a girl’s hand and puzzling over how four fingers twinned with mine could possibly be simultaneously so light but pull with such gravity.
And maybe best of all, discovering that magic is real. How else can one explain a girl looking at you, eyes with lightning flashes and her smile erupting with laughter so sweet and joy-filled, a sound so delightful and a moment so perfect, you could die on the spot?
Those things are best left as mysteries. You can watch, hear and touch them without ever knowing where it came from or how it happened. They are moments to store away forever.
