Mental health is all about keeping our minds healthy. Maintaining our state of mind gives us clarity & purpose. If not maintained can lead to obscurity.

Today, Web3 has not fallen short of imbalance to our mental health. We’re curious beings by nature — combined with rabbit holes, Web3 can be full of excitement or resentment if we’re not mindful.

Mindfulness isn’t limited to those facing an imbalance in their lives. Rather, it is for all of us. It helps give us the needed joy, like the sensation from that first sip of coffee in the morning, only healthier.

As the saying goes, “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” Therefore, mindfulness allows you to help yourself and others.

Scene from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Monica sat next to Chandler, licked a random coffee cup, and said, “There you go. Enjoy your coffee.”

The necessity of mindfulness continues to grow as we become exposed to the Web3 environment, communities, and new technologies adopted into our lifestyles. We need a simple approach to becoming mindful. It gives a better perspective when navigating situations such as rug pulls, scams, or FOMO. It also reduces the need to spend hours on Twitter, Discord, or Clubhouse — and avoid burnout, ongoing anxiety, or depression. The exciting journey in Web3 can blind us from the most basic mindfulness practices.

Here are (3) Guiding Principles to help begin your mindfulness journey through Web3.

(1) Understanding, (2) Patience & (3) Mindfulness

(1) Understanding. It may not be easy to understand why unfortunate events happen in your life and time in Web3. You may encounter circumstances that test your resilience, but you must focus on your understanding of those times. Take notes of what happened, why it happened, and reflect on how you could do better next time.

The best of times give you happiness, and the worst of times give you lessons.

You aren’t meant to understand everything, but keep in mind that it’s happening for you to learn and grow. And that’s okay!

(2) Patience. An invaluable commodity. A strength that empowers you to know that there is a time and place for everything. That’s why learning at your own pace is important in the long run. Be patient with yourself, go easy & stay consistent as you navigate through Web3.

(3) Mindfulness. Remind yourself to be mindful. Be mentally attentive to your learnings and behaviors adopted from Web3. Focus on being mindful rather than being mind-full. You aren’t meant to be your best all day, every day. Take breaks.

These (3) guiding principles require practice & time. In order to master your craft, first, you must master yourself. Be understanding that it takes time. Be patient with the process. Moreover, be mindful of your journey and learnings in Web3.
