We’re still in the midst of an NFT winter, and many of us still here are experiencing the effects of burnout. Although we love the Web3 space and all it brings, we still feel the negative effects that can happen when the time and energy we put into it are greater than the time and energy we have available.

This is increasingly common in NFT, as we feel that everything needs our attention, everything is urgent, and the pressure just keeps rising. Unfortunately, when this happens, people usually choose to step away from the thing that is causing them stress. Feeling overworked and with no system in place to support their mental health, they come to a bad place and retreat in an attempt to rest. We need to find a way to achieve balance and stability in a volatile market.

So what can you do if you are facing crypto burnout?

1 - Take breaks throughout the day. Set the alarm on your phone for 15 min breaks — walk around the house, have a cup of tea, stretch — just ensure that you’re committing to being present in body and mind during these breaks.

2 - Set boundaries. Map out how long you want to spend focused on Web3 this day/week, and stick to that. It’s easy to get carried away and spend all your time online, neglecting the other parts of your life.

3 - Consider why you are here — what do you love about this space? Focus on those reasons why making choices to ensure that you are working within your values.

4 - Journal. Keep a reflective journal, exploring what you have been working on, how it makes you feel, how you would like it to make you feel, and how you can get there. Be intentional with what you are doing so you are not wasting your time and energy.

Practice these four steps and check in with yourself and your mental health regularly.
