Zoomtopia is Zoom’s annual user and partner conference. In 2022, the event is both in-person in San Jose (though sold out) and online using Zoom’s own Events platform.

Make sure your sign up for Zoomtopia to check out the sessions and build your own agenda.

Zoomtopia runs from 8th — 9th November 2022 and includes sessions to cater to audiences across all regions.

Here are five of our favorite sessions you definitely shouldn’t miss at this edition of Zoomtopia.

1 — Vision and Product Keynote

When? Nov 8th 9:00 AM-10:30 AM

Eric Yuan will open Zoomtopia to discuss Zoom’s vision for the entire communications stack.

As Zoom moves to becoming an all-encompassing tool for video, phone, messaging, call center, events, and much more, learn how Eric thinks the next few years to follow will pan out.

Eric will be joined by Zoom’s Chief Product Officer, Oded Gal, who will demonstrate not only the flexibility of the Zoom platform but its robustness.

If you’re into Zoom, this is the session to tune into.

2 — Enhancing Team Collaboration Before, During, and After Your Meetings

When? 8th Nov 11:00 AM-11:30 AM

Having recently renamed Zoom Chat to Zoom Team Chat, there’s a major focus on getting channel and direct messaging right.

Rather than relying on Zoom purely for meetings, this session will introduce ways to make your entire collaboration experience productive.

Did you know that chat is available both inside and outside of meetings?

Join Zoom Product Managers, David Ball, John Beckmann, Emi Ristani, and Darin Brown, to learn various tips and tricks when using Zoom Team Chat.

To learn about chat interoperability with other platforms, sign up for Zoom Team Chat interop.

3 — The Zoom & Microsoft Coexistence Story

When? 8th November 12:15 PM — 12:45 PM

If you follow Patrick Kelley on LinkedIn, you’ll have noticed he’s a huge advocate of using both Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

In fact, he used to work for Microsoft!

There is no better person to explain the Zoom and Microsoft Teams coexistence story and this session is sure to be standing room only as the number of enterprises using both Teams and Zoom continues to grow on a daily basis.

Expect to see demos of Zoom Phone within Teams, hosting a meeting in each other’s platform, and maybe even a demo of Mio’s chat interoperability.

Here’s a sneak peek:

4 — Interactive Panel: Ask a Zoom Expert

When? 9th Nov 9:30 AM-10:15 AM

Have you got a pressing Zoom question you need an answer to?

This session is your chance to pose a question to a Zoom expert.

No (Zoom) topics are out of bounds. There’s representation from all parts of Zoom.

Speakers include:

  • Nitasha Walia, Group Product Manager
  • Max Krohn, Head of Security Engineering
  • Sharvari Nerurkar, Head of Product for Zoom Team Chat
  • Vi Chau, Head of Product for Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center
  • Jeff Smith, Group Product Manager, Head of Zoom Rooms and Whiteboard

5 — Introducing the Latest Innovation in Zoom Asynchronous Communication

When? 9th Nov 11:15 AM-12:00 PM

As the world pushes to combat perceived Zoom fatigue, who better to speak about the topic than Zoom?

Recognizing that asynchronous communication is, or will be, the cornerstone of modern collaboration, Zoom Technical Sales Architects, Jonathan Hong and Ji Li, will introduce an exciting new feature coming to Zoom.

No spoilers have been leaked as to what this is yet so make sure you tune in live!
