Drivable NFTs are the Future of Tech: Ozone Metaverse Launches World Premiere for NFT LA, Demos at Mansion

It’s that moment when you’re driving with your crew to the set of your new TV show, imagining what life is going to be like when the money starts rolling in. My co-star turns to our Production Manager and says, “What kind of car would you drive if cash was no object?”

Absolutely no hesitation. “A Bugatti,” she smirks.

I chime in from the backseat, “Well, you can probably drive your own in the Ozone Metaverse as an NFT right now!”

I would have known exactly which model sports cars were available if I had made it to the NFT LA after-party at the iconic Goldstein mansion in Beverly Hills to see the Ozone Metaverse Demo. It was at the Block LA after-party that Jay, the Founder met with his core team, Co-Founder and CTO Mr. O, Chief Strategist Dom, and Chief Storyteller Xander, in-person for the first time in five years of building their enterprise. Ozone’s core team flew in from Colorado, North Carolina, the UK, and Missouri respectively to make the grand reveal. Talk about technology and entrepreneurship bringing people together! The Ozone Metaverse Demo turned out to be one of the hottest tickets in town.

Attending the bash were business mogul Dan Fleyshman, NBA all-star Baron Davis, music artist Tory Lanez, keynote speaker Ashesh Shah, AXIA advisor and founder of Advanced Wearables Inc. Abigail Aboitiz, Co-Founder of NFT Miami Erick LaPaglia, Congressional Candidate Shrina Kurani, CEO of World Artists United Jalen James & Andrew Schaberg — Chief Growth Officer SuperDraft.io among others.

Although the focus of the big screen demos was on the sleek new VR capabilities and high def driving graphics, the real buzz was around the upcoming Ozone Metaverse ‘land sale,’ an event that the whole tech world seems to be talking about right now. Decentralized blockchain ownership is one of the most exciting components that Ozone boasts, leading competitors by way of both technical quality and Web3 innovation. Buyers at the
upcoming land sale will get the coveted early adopter benefit of experiencing the first ever ‘driveable NFTs.’

The land sale opens to the public in early summer. In light of the recent land rush around Metaverse real-estate, Ozone’s strategic partnership with the Flow blockchain positions them as the only platform to launch democratized ownership at the Internet scale. Flow is a free, green platform with no gas fees on which “minting an NFT costs less carbon than a post on a social networking site.”

Ess explains how he sees Ozone users as “pioneers” — creating magnificent landscapes, arenas, shops, galleries, and more. “Ozone is not creating the Metaverse,” he tells me. “We are providing the tools that users will use to build new worlds. This is about unleashing the creativity of millions of creators. That’s what makes our technology truly game-changing thanks to the unique combination of our graphics technology with the Flow blockchain. For example, our partners at XR-LABS in Miami are building the Miami Metaverse on our platform, and many more are joining us on the journey.”

When I ask Dom, the Strategy officer what they will build, he smiles. “It might be a stadium for virtual sports or a club where they can DJ for their friends,” he says. “It could be a DeFi-enabled store or simply a place to chill with friends and family. Perhaps it’s a whole neighborhood, or even a brand-new city. Maybe they donʼt want to build, they just want to be. That is okay, too. Our metaverse needs citizens to participate in the games, economy, and governance.”

Jay and Oleksiy speak with obvious passion. It is clear listening to them that Ozone’s vision is to enable creative and social change, not just a technological one. I ask if this new wave of decentralized finance (defi) and ownership will ‌be a great equalizer for those who have been traditionally undervalued or left behind. Jay is quick to confirm my hunch, enthusiastically explaining that one of his core motivations is to empower artists, creatives, and nonprofits to make a huge social impact through new revenue and fundraising mechanics. This aspect is a critical gap in the current gaming landscape dominated by the likes of Fortnite.

The Ozone team is also bringing this World Premiere directly to your smartphones. Their unique mobile compatibility access and Internet scalability outshine similar platforms like Microsoft Altspace, which still requires a local download. This gives everyone with Internet access the opportunity to acquire and develop a piece of the future online landscape. The Future internet. “It’s basically like buying a website domain name back in 1997,” Jay explains. “But the value is much more obvious now because we have already become a digital species, whereas back then we were still using snail mail and paper.”

Coined ‘the possibility engine,’ the potential of Ozone Metaverse to disrupt the status quo is clear. The question is whether the concepts can successfully integrate an online experience with a tangible social and economic benefit in the real world. I’m glad to hear that this is a priority for their leadership. This new world that engineers and user-creators are imagining, can serve as
either a form of bypassing and escape or as a form of inspiration and action. The latter is going to take some mindful intention woven into the code along with a community structure that incentivizes users to translate their ideas and connections into the real world.
