Photo of a treelined street in Berlin. It’s quiet with only few people and one car. The sky is a beautiful blue and the sun is shining.

It’s 9am in mid-June
The night before has exhaled
Kaleidoscope heads
Limbs slick and sticky
And now the light
Pale yellow and disco silver
Beep bops
Polka dots,
Leather, lace and metal
Down the straße
That breeze
She eases
Quietly, gently
Through one leafy green at a time

Bitte
The grind of beans
Sharp bursts of steam
Hafer and heaven
In a cup
The shutters have yet to stutter
The grills not yet alive
Plans lay crumpled
Like gig T-shirts on the floor
The beast is briefly
A princess
