News That Matters

Health

What does having a baby do to your body… as a father? Sameer Sontakey wanted to find out, so after his wife had their second child, he recorded his biometrics. Here’s what he found.

And no… this isn’t a study analyzing the ever popular ‘dad bod.’ 😂

Wealth

Baby boomers are the fastest growing group of small business owners. After years of working hard for someone else, they are taking the skills they learned on the job and going into business for themselves. Learn how their experience is helping them land customers.

Wisdom

The quest to understand nature vs nurture continues. Scientists have found that the type of mothering a mouse provides her pups can actually change their DNA.

“Mothering style influences the degree to which DNA is mobilized in offspring’s brains, with offspring of more-attentive mothers experiencing less gene movement, and offspring of less-attentive mothers experiencing more gene movement.”

This research supports the idea that a child’s early environment affects brain development and can be the cause, or prevention, of future mental health disorders. Read the study.

Tech Trends

The tech to pull this kind of ‘movie’ off is improving every day, but popularizing and funding this new medium proves to be the bigger challenge.

Check out what could be ‘the biggest change to movies since sound.’
