What’s bugging you?
Probably all the insects that are carrying diseases at a higher rate. According to federal research released this week, ticks and mosquitos are infecting more and more people with diseases such as Lyme and Zika. The study states that the rate of people infected with these diseases has tripled over the last 13 years.
There are many contributing factors to the spike, but the main one is likely that summers are becoming longer and hotter, which yields ample breeding time for the creepy crawlers.
Luckily, there are ways you can protect yourself from the bug bites. The CDC recommends covering up exposed skin if you are outside, and especially if you’re hiking. And they also suggest using a bug spray on any skin you are unwilling to cover up.

Your mind is playing tricks on you.
Research has shown that in group work settings, your brain naturally tends to trust people simply because they sound like they know what they’re talking about. It’s part of the unconscious bias that takes place in your brain every second of the day — a trait that is extremely important to survival.
But that unconscious bias might also be setting you up in a bad work situation. As we’ve heard for years, knowing is half that battle. Simply being aware that your brain is naturally inclined to trust more gregarious or authoritative people means you can guard against it. Instead, trust people you’re working with by looking at their actual capabilities and accomplishments. If you need to, even seek outside opinions.

In an effort to win back some user trust amid their privacy scandal, Facebook is offering a new feature that allows users to delete their browsing history on the site.
“In your web browser, you have a simple way to clear your cookies and history. The idea is a lot of sites need cookies to work, but you should still be able to flush your history whenever you want. We’re building a version of this for Facebook too.” -Mark Zuckerberg in a Facebook post
The feature should allow users more control over which apps and third parties have been given access to their information.
