If we meet again

I want to feel the warmth of the sun rising on my cheeks

While you stroke my hair for the first time and it feels timeless and sweet

I want to feel the light of the sun setting on my shoulders

While your big arms keep me warm as it gets colder

I want to undress you so slowly it might take me days

Even when my head scares me and repeats: he might not stay

I will wait as long as it takes so you feel free

To dance, trip, fall and just be

I will let my body choose when it’s ready to surrender

Even if I have been waiting for this moment forever

I want to feel eternal gratitude even if we won’t meet again

Because meeting you rushed my fingers to type again

And if we do meet again, I want to be true

Because the heart I saw was so clear I could see through
