Researchers at PLOS have examined the relationship between weight and taste. Scientists have known for some time that obesity dulls the sense of taste, but they were never able to determine how or why this occurred. PLOS’s new study dove deeper into the molecular effects of weight gain and found that obesity causes the number of taste buds on your tongue to decrease. Learn why.
Your employees are pretty awesome, aren’t they? Of course they are! Why else would you hire them? 😏

It’s well-known that you can boost your happiness and health by spending more time in nature. Local parks are great, but traveling a bit further to natural outdoor settings may be even more beneficial. According to a study published in The Journal of Environment & Behavior:
“… we have found that our mental well being and our emotional bond with nature may differ depending on the type and quality of an environment we visit.”
Researchers at MIT have developed a device that can pull drinking water from the desert air. 😲
“The research team is now tackling the challenge of increasing the efficiency of their device. If they’re successful, we could have a shot at harvesting the estimated 13 trillion liters of water that’s present in the atmosphere at any given time: that’s equivalent to about 10 percent of all the freshwater in lakes and rivers across the globe.”
Target and Kroger are discussing forming a massive grocery merger. Both companies are suffering from Amazon’s dominance in online retail and their recent moves into the grocery space. Additionally, Walmart continues to grow it’s grocery offerings and has a competitive digital infrastructure. A merger would help both Target and Kroger overcome these two retail behemoths and could greatly improve their quality, service, and offerings.
Learn more about how Target, Kroger, and consumers could benefit from a merger.
