This Is How To Step Into Your Own Power And Reclaim Your Self-Confidence
Lost In Mindless Thinking

You may have settled for sitting on the side-lines instead of getting involved in the game of life with passion, purpose, and power.
It is no secret those who lead a fulfilling life have the power to create their own circumstances, owing to their enthusiasm and passion.

You would be one of many who react to their environment by internalising their external reality. Consider the question, is there something holding you back from stepping into your power?
If there is one thing that excites me more than anything it is having the privilege of encouraging and motivating men and women to recognise and step into the magnitude of power that resides within them.
It is persuading them to open their eyes to the ways in which they have allowed mental illusions and lack of clarity to hold them back. It is awakening within them a fervent desire to run toward their dreams with great expectancy and joy.
Your mind is possibly churning with thoughts, which is not a bad thing, but if a lot of those thoughts are negative, it will affect your beliefs and actions.
I am sure you can relate to occasionally lying in bed at night trying to go to sleep while your mind is running wild with anxious thoughts. You want to sleep, but you ruminate about any number of situations hoping to resolve them in your mind.
It makes for a very tired person the next day I can assure you, since that was the person I was prior to meditating and bringing peace to my thoughts. It is certainly worth investing the time to learn how to silence your thoughts and let your heart lead the way, since your heart knows everything that you really want and need for a happy life.
Besides, have you noticed that most of the things we worry about never actually happen? I am certainly not announcing anything new here, yet only in hindsight do we realise how much energy is lost in mindless thinking.
Staying Stuck Internally

We entertain anywhere between 70,000–80,000 thoughts a day. Most of those thoughts are repetitive in nature. It makes sense that we abandon this way of thinking in place of seeking clarity through our thoughts as author Jamie Smart reminds us.
As a brief aside, mindful meditation is a wonderful practice used to quieten your thoughts. In this practice, you take some time to sit still, take a few deep breaths, relax your entire body, and focus on your inhalation and exhalation.
As you focus on your breathing, many of your thoughts cease and you experience inner peace. Occasionally a floating thought or emotion will enter your mind. This is alright. Simply acknowledging the thought or emotion and letting it float away is enough to bring peacefulness to your thoughts. This simple practice teaches you to manage your thoughts and emotional state, rather than being at the mercy of your runaway thoughts.
In order to step into your powerful self, learn to face and embrace your feelings and emotions rather than become a victim to their erratic nature.
We know that situations in life often arise which are not optimal; there may even be trying circumstances that evoke negative feelings. What you do with these feelings is vitally important as it relates to moving forward or staying stuck internally.
Many people do not like to feel pain, so they stuff their pain as they encounter it or try to numb it with addictions, constant activity, etc. The effects of these ineffectual coping skills drains vital energy over time, perhaps leading to an emotional breakdown at some point in the not too distant future.
Through mindful meditation you learn to embrace and process emotions. It is alright to temporarily feel the intensity of the emotions, whether it is sadness, grief, anger, rage or otherwise, but then allow them passage. They may have arisen in order to teach you a lesson or finally deal with emotions that you have stuffed for years.
Accept what surfaces by allowing it to reveal itself through you. Like a full moon on a cloudy night, trust that behind the clouds lies the brightest light that cannot be diminished.
Reclaim Your Wholeness

The ability to embrace your emotions and attend to them will help you to become more powerful in a number of ways. You become more secure and confident, as well as happier and more peaceful, since you are processing the emotion rather than ignoring it.
Young men are taught at a very early age by well-meaning fathers not to show their feelings since it is deemed to be effeminate and not in keeping with their masculinity. Yet it is these same men who are prone to emotional breakdowns or mid-life crisis since they have suppressed their emotions so much so that they erupt.
There is general consensus among happiness experts who assert the more fully you embrace your negative feelings, the more you can experience the positive feelings as well. So rather than sailing through life feeling a little happy, you can realistically learn to embrace and honour your negative emotions, which allow you to experience abundant and authentic joy, which is after all your default state of being.
One needs only to look to young children to see how delightful and playful they feel most of the time. It is only through growing societal and personal pressure that we internalise a state of internal stress and lose sight of our playful nature.
As you honour your feelings, you express self-love by reclaiming your wholeness. You do not deny any part of you, which allows you to step into your amazing power that has resided in you all along.
By stepping into your own power, you claim the inherent power that resides within us all. It is there waiting to be claimed, but first you must let go of the conditioned beliefs and false judgements you have accumulated over the years that obscure your powerful self.
