“When children play, they exercise their senses, their intellect, their emotions, their imagination — keenly and energetically.… To play is to explore, to discover and to experiment. Playing helps children develop ideas and gain experience. It gives them a wealth of knowledge and information about the world in which they live — and about themselves. So to play is also to learn. Play is fun for children. But it’s much more than that — it’s good for them, and it’s necessary. … Play gives children the opportunity to develop and use the many talents they were born with.”

News that matters

➜ It’s no accident that some of the most successful technology entrepreneurs in the world got their start… playing video games. Now science is catching up, and a new study shows that playing with different technologies and tools is the key to learning how to use those tools to build real solutions to real problems. Play comes first, and creation comes second.

What we’re playing

We got a chance this weekend to play Laser Tag at an island in and around an abandoned hospital. It was a blast. These Nerf Guns have everything you need — track if you got hit, how many lives you have left, how much ammo you have, as well as who is out and who is still in play. They also let you divide into team 1, 2, or go for a solo match. Whether it’s capture the flag, or an all out battle, this was a fun outdoor activity for a big group of people.

What we’re reading

Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen

Teachers and professors might lie to you?! Never. 😉 For those of you who suspect your Education approved textbooks, talking points, and curriculum aren’t exactly truthful… this is an excellent book to explore.

What we’re watching

Eclectic, unique, and mission driven.

What we’re listening to

Relax & Unwind Playlist on Spotify

This is the perfect Sunday track or after work track to put on. True to it’s description, it’ll help you unwind. The playlist is great, and our favorite solo track is the 30 second long Stay Alive by José Gonzále
