When the COVID-19 pandemic caused businesses and schools to shut down, many industries suffered. But one of the industries that’s going to have a tough time coming back is the music industry. Specifically classical and jazz music, but it can also apply to pop musicians as well.

For many musicians, working online has never been a viable option. Performing with anyone else means you have to be in the same room. And while some people have been teaching online for years, many musicians prefer to give private lessons in person.

Sure, some musicians have worked from home before. Composers and songwriters can work from anywhere, for example. But now that working from home has become the best option, many musicians have been left out of work.

So, what’s a musician to do?

You can continue working as a musician and pursue your craft from home. Many soloists and ensembles have been giving virtual concerts and masterclasses. Studio teachers have shifted to video lessons.

And you can, too.

Here are a few online jobs that involve or at least relate to music.
