The Poor Lucky Kid

There was a poor kid in a village. He wished to eat delicious food, but he didn’t have even normal food to eat. He ate some days, and he starved some days. This was the routine life of the kid. The kid is kind, and he helped others in the ways he can.

One day he found a bakery where he got a pleasant smell and observed people from outside. He found that most people were purchasing bread, which was very popular and new at that time.

He desired to eat a piece of bread for himself. However, he can’t afford it. He spent that day just feeding on the smell of bread. He even slept that night on the pavement and dreamt about eating delicious bread.

The next morning he woke up, but he was starving and wishing to eat at least a small bite from the bread. But that’s not possible and so left the place desperately. In his journey, he found an old lady who fell her oranges on the road, and she was very old looking around for help as she can’t bend much.

This poor kid found the old lady and ran towards her. He collected all the oranges and gave them to the old lady. The old lady felt happy and gave the kid an orange. However, the kid wasn’t happy.

He was hungry, but he wants bread. He thought of exchanging the orange with the bread at the bakery if possible. So he went to the bakery again, and he saw a rich kid crying for orange and the mother was trying to console him.

But the kid wasn’t listening. There were no oranges around that place, and the poor kid went to the rich kid and gave him the orange he had. The rich kid stopped crying and the poor kid smiled and was leaving.

The mother of the rich kid stopped him and gave him a loaf of bread in return. The poor kid felt thrilled, and there were no limits for his joy. He thanked the rich kid’s mother and left his home joyfully and ate the bread heart fully.

MORAL: Do your duty and help the way you can, but expect nothing. Leave it to destiny. Your destiny brings what’s fit for you.

Even in our lives, we cry for things we want. We feel worried and desperate. But this isn’t the right way. Keep working on things to get what you want. Sometimes you may fail, but keep trying. One day you will get what you want.

Destiny is tricky and it will test you in all ways and once you pass, you will be rewarded well.
