Mobile apps can save the day if you’re strapped for cash and need it right away.

We’ve all been there. We stare into our smartphones and open up our bank account app to check the balance, only to find there’s a measly $15.95 (or a negative balance), causing our anxiety to set off with the doomed feeling of falling behind financially and getting caught in a thought-loop of despair, feeling trapped like there’s no resolution in sight.

Sure there is! You just have to think out of the box.

We’re in the age where tech provides us new conveniences and one of those is being able to access money to get us out of a rut until you can get back on your feet.

Many of us feel we can’t find help because of bad credit, but that’s simply NOT true, because these very methods I tried below had a high approval rating and some don’t require a good credit score at all, so give it a try!

Here I list the best steps (in order) that I followed to help myself get out of a tight squeeze:

Step 1: Download the Possible App. This app was the fastest to setup and see how much I qualified for. In my case, I got approved for $250 right away which was more than I was expecting.

Step 2: Dave — Banking & Cash Advance is by far one of the best cash advance apps on the app stores. It may not give you as much as Possible Finance will, but the approval was guaranteed and I qualified for $75 right away, then later down the road as I paid back, the borrow amounts would increase. Excellent for emergencies.

Step 3: MoneyLion — I was able to get $55 on my first signup on Money Lion. More than just a $55+ cash advance, but an entire finance platform that includes a credit builder, cashback rewards, 0% APR advances on $250, with a max advance of $1,000 and best of all there was no credit checks or interest charged on the cash advance. You can also open an account and get paid up to 2-days early if you use them for direct deposit. Well worth it!

Step 4: Albert Mobile Banking — A noteworthy financial platform that also will provide you a cash advance with cashback rewards, 2-day early direct deposits, fee-free ATMs with no minimums, maintenance fees and best of all, there’s no fees on your cash advances! I got approved for $50 on this app as well.

In just an hour, I was able to collect a grand total of $430, which is a fairly decent amount to get you by on the essentials such as some food, gas and float for anything else.

As another resort, you can always check with Cash Advance stores near you, but they do charge 10% or so when it’s time to pay them back, so I’d try these apps first before going to those places.

Lastly, there are other apps that offer cash advances, but I felt these were the fastest and most effective in resolving matters right away when needing something fast and efficiently.
