As TikTok expands into finding ways to reward creators new ways to monetize, a new feature shared recently by TikTok User Jera Bean goes into details on what you can expect to roll out in the next days to come.

@Jera.Bean on TikTok: New Tips feature rolling out for TikTok Creators

The new Tips feature allows you to send tips anonymously, but there’s no word yet on how soon it will be available to everyone, as it’s slowly rolling out to limited users for the time being. The good news is, 100% of those tips goes directly to you, meaning TikTok does not take any percentage donated to you. (Big Plus!)

You’ll have to meet certain credentials to be approved for this feature though, such as:

  • Having 100,000 followers
  • TikTok account in good standing and no community guideline violations.
  • Meet the age requirement of 18+ years old.

If you want to enable the Tips feature or see if it’s available for your TikTok account, try checking your settings under the ‘Creator’ section, then select ‘Tips’.

Note: You will have to apply for it and TikTok will notify you once your application has been approved. Once approved, a “Tips” symbol will appear on your profile where people can donate the amount of their choice.

Users do not have to ‘Follow’ you to be able to send you a tip either, another great convenience! No exact date has been posted on when this will roll out, but likely will randomly appear in your settings, so check periodically to be ahead of the game.
