Egyptian President AbdelFattah El-Sisi said today - during a public speech- that he would sell himself to bail Egypt out of its debt.

The speech took place at a conference to discuss Egypt’s sustainable development strategy for 2030.

In less than an hour, an Ad. surfaced on social media putting El-Sisi up for bidding on the famous auction site eBay.

The Ad. made 90 bids reaching 100,000 USD before it was removed from the website.

During the conference, the final draft of the country’s sustainable development strategy for the next 15 years was published.

The strategy aims to raise Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth to 12 percent in 2030, up from the 4.2 percent attained last fiscal year.It also aims to reduce the budget deficit to 2.28 percent from -the current- 11.5 percent.

Egypt -allegedly- began an economic reform plan in June 2014 in hopes of boosting the economy amid an alleged war on terrorism.
