Mr.Carter Lacy is from Carlsbad, New Mexico and is a Special Education (SPED) teacher at Jefferson Montessori Academy. Lacy has been teaching for two years and he really enjoys it so far! Lacy stated that he loves teaching because before coming to JMA he worked at Carc Inc. with adults with physical and mental disabilities and enjoys working with the younger population. While working at Carc Inc, he was a case manager before coming to JMA.

Other than teaching he has his own life outside of school. He has a wife and owns three dogs named Brady, Nibbler, and Ghost. Brady was named after Tom Brady in the NFL, Nibbler was named after a animal from popular T.V. show Futurama, and Ghost because of John from the HBO series Game of Thrones. He also has a good friend at JMA, Michael Niemeier who is a fellow teacher at the high school level.

One thing he likes about Carlsbad, New Mexico is the open space. Lacy also stated “ I can drive ten minutes anywhere to get away from people.”

Lacy enjoys playing games on his Playstation 4 as a hobby because he doesn’t really like watching sports on TV. He enjoys playing Battlefield and Arc as a hobby after work.

Bonus Fact: Lacy has never shaved his legs.
