Researchers have conducted experiments to prove that Harry Potter teaches kids to battle prejudice. Studies have shown that Harry Potter improves peoples views on groups such as immigrants, homosexuals, and refugees.

This can be helpful to create a more equal and open society. Teaching kids from a young age to be accepting and open to new ideas can solve a lot of social issues. Although, the book only affected those who were emotionally touched by the characters back story’s and which groups they conspire with.

Kids that identified with Potter showed “improved attitudes towards immigrants.” Others who had less of an emotional identification with Voldemort had “improved attitudes towards refugees.” With the help of the teachers, some of young children were able to relate Harry’s support of “mudbloods” to bigotry in society.
