JMA Accepting Donations for Hurricane Harvey Survivors

On Friday August 25, 2017 tragedy struck Houston, Texas as Hurricane Harvey made landfall. The hurricane flooded parts of Houston and surrounding cities; the city is in dire need of food, clothes, and water.

Jefferson Montessori Academy is accepting canned food, dog food, blankets, clothes, and bottled water. All labels must be intact. Donations can be dropped off at 500 West Church Street, Carlsbad NM. They can be dropped off Monday — Friday before 8:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m.

JMA does not want donations dropped off during school hours because it can cause a distraction. Donations can also be dropped off on Sat. and Sun. between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. and Labor Day between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

All donations are due by Friday September 8th and will be driven to the affected area by a parent volunteer who wishes to remain anonymous.
