Medical Advancements in Tattoos
Recently, a technological “tattoo” was created for people who have medical issues. This implant is currently only for scanning different vital signs such as oxygen blood levels, heart rates, and blood sugar levels. The only working model has a month long battery life and can not be recharged. Even though this device has a short life, it is being enhanced for a year long usage and a possible charger port so that it may not have to be replaced by way of surgery which can get expensive.
The device is made of ultra-thin wires and silicate based materials. The machine does not have a screen although working models with screens have been created but not tested on living subjects. Not only are researchers working on longer battery life but are also being enhanced for normal life uses like that of a mobile device. This newer development will soon allow people to watch YouTube, use Google, and check your email from the palm of your hand or wherever it is you want the device implanted.
There are also stick on versions being created so that hospitals can stick on the patient and be used as the monitor rather than having large cumbersome equipment placed around the room. This can fix spacial problems in a medical hospital so that more important things can be stored and give family members and other visitors more room when checking on their loved one.
