On November 3 — November 4, 2017, the Overwatch World cup was held at Anaheim Convention Center in California. There was a total of 32 countries (teams) from five continents that made the cut to play the tournament.

Overwatch is a first person shooter, online multiplayer video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and designed by Scott Mercer, Jeremy Craig, and Michael Elliott. It was released on May 24, 2016 and won The Game Award for Game of the Year in 2016. A few months later, the Overwatch World Cup began on November 4, 2016 and lasts for two days.

On November 3 there was a total of eight teams still standing. The next day it was cut down to four teams which were Sweden, South Korea, France, and Canada. Unfortunately, France and Sweden didn’t make it to the championship match but still had to fight over third place which then left Canada and South Korea fighting for first place.

By tournaments end they had Sweden in 3rd place, Canada in 2nd place, and South Korea in 1st place winning the tournament for the second straight year.
