Within the past two months a former secondary student has returned to Carlsbad and to JMA. This student is Gage Sandoval. Gage has been a part of this school for about six years in total. Gage had to leave his home town of Carlsbad, New Mexico in order to help his grandfather who had been unable to do things that were part of his normal routine.

Gage enjoys video games, strategic thinking games, and working on vehicles. He says that he “likes working on cars because he wants to be like his grandfather was.”

Gage draws his inspiration for good grades from his aspirations to be a mechanic. His parents also grant him more privileges when his grades are higher.

Gage also has three siblings that have moved around with him when he left previously. All three are younger brothers, Thomas, Cesario, and Abraham Sandoval.

Throughout his years at JMA Ashlyn Saldana has been at his side as his best friend.
