How Did the Queen Get Covid?
Buckingham Palace confirmed Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 20.
Fortunately, the monarch, who reportedly has been triple vaccinated, is only dealing with “mild cold-like symptoms” so far.
The seemingly unstoppable leader expects to continue “light duties” at Windsor as she recovers, the palace said.
While the source of her infection hasn’t been announced, the 95-year-old Queen was in the company of her eldest son and heir, Prince Charles of Wales, who tested positive last week. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also recently tested positive for coronavirus.
Charles was isolated after his diagnosis on Feb. 10. This will be his second infection after testing positive for the virus in March, 2020.
As for the Queen, so far her symptoms are mild. “She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace said.
