Moorestown Township has begun an “Adopt a Lake Front” initiative where neighborhood groups or businesses can adopt a portion of the Strawbridge Lake frontage along Haines Drive for loving care.

The idea is to go in and improve the appearance and views of the lake, and provide ongoing maintenance.

There are strict rules as to what can and cannot be done. The buffer along the water can be trimmed but the width must remain. Only organized groups that have been approved and trained by the Township’s Environmental Advisory Committee will be allowed to conduct this work.

The first organized group, lead by Emily Magana, began working on Saturday Nov. 5. For more information, please contact the Township Manager’s Office at (856) 235–0912.
