On the heels of three successful exhibition seasons, Moorestown ArtWalk returns for a fourth season, providing an opportunity to enjoy a variety of art in the casual, festive setting of downtown Main Street. With ArtWalk on Friday, May 8, Moorestown business owners continue their pledge to exhibit local, regional and national art in a festive atmosphere that includes live music and tasty treats.

ArtWalk premiered in May of 2006 with five participating sites and a dream to repeat monthly. Over the past three years, more than 30 businesses — from casual coffee shop to established art gallery — and some 40-plus local and regional artists have joined the fun. The event is free and open to the public, with participants invited to stroll from one exhibit to the next.

It all happens from 6 to 9 p.m., rain or shine, along Main Street. More details, including a map, can be found at www.MoorestownArts.com.

To celebrate the opening of the 2009 ArtWalk season, The Moorestown Historical Society is hosting a Wine and Cheese event and art opening in honor of painter Neal Hughes, whose work has received national recognition. The event will be held from 5:30–7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8, at the Smith-Cadbury Mansion on High Street, just half a block from ArtWalk festivities on Main Street.
