On Jan. 4, Lutheran Crossings at Moorestown hosted a Century of Life Celebration to honor residents who have or will turn 100 in 2019. This momentous occasion was spearheaded by Community Life Director & Volunteer Coordinator, Saralynne McDowell.

“I am inspired by our residents each and every day. Our centenarians have been gifted with a long, well-lived life and I wanted to celebrate them as well as the important things in life like hope, love and memories,” McDowell said.

The guests of honor included: Carl Wilfrid, 100; Ann Kassekert, 99; Madeline Malerba, 100; Alfreda Tarka, 100; Beatrice Watson, 101 and Estella White, 105.

The event included entertainment from a bag piper, an appearance from the town crier who shared historical facts about Moorestown as well as refreshments. The party took place in the community’s newly renovated Cultural Arts Center.
