Moorestown resident is the PENJERDEL citizen of the year
Moorestown resident Joseph S. Holman, chairman and patriarch of Holman Enterprises, received the 2011 Citizen of the Year award from the PENJERDEL Council, a civic organization that works to improve and promote the region of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.
Presenting the award is James H. Carll, chairman of the PENJERDEL board of directors and chairman of the law firm of Archer and Greiner P.C. The award recognizes Holman for outstanding business and community leadership.
Holman Enterprises, with seven auto dealerships in Burlington County, consistently ranks among the nation’s top automotive dealership groups, according to the industry publication Automotive News. PENJERDEL honored Holman not only for his business success, but more importantly for his leadership in making Holman Enterprises one of the largest and most consistent contributors to the civic and charitable life of South Jersey.
Among other philanthropic and charitable endeavors, Holman and its employees are perennial top contributors to the local United Way.
