From Here to the World and the Future
The three-year high school life is the most meaningful journey in my life so far, because, during these three years, I learned to be an independent person, controlling my own life. I scheduled my time, chose my courses, traveled along, and made decisions for my future. All those actions make me feel like an adult, no longer the girl who needs her parents to tell her which is the right way to go.
Now, I can confidently tell my parents that I not only don’t regret my decision but also grateful for it. If I went to a traditional Chinese high school, I won’t have any of the experience I mentioned. Besides learning knowledge and skills in high school, I learned to be the person I wanted to be. As our school’s motto said, “We walk from here to the world and the future”, the end of my high school journey is the start point of the future I choose.
