Just Twelve Weeks

A poem

Photo by Heike Mintel on Unsplash

In just twelve weeks,
your cheeks have become rosy,
and your thighs have become chubby,
and your eyes seem to light up when
we walk into the room.

In just twelve weeks,
your hands now grab ahold of our fingers,
and my hair,
and your body has stretched
beyond the width of my lap.
