Seven Stitches

Or Less

They lived energetic lives. Photo credit: Catherine Dunn-Gilbert, author

We had a rule when our kids were young that if we weren’t with them and they had an accident anything less than seven stitches was not worth bothering us for. Of course, this did not apply when they were very little; and in fact, we rarely left them then anyway.

It was more for the few times we got away for a weekend when they were older kids and teens. And it was sort of a joke.
