The Motherload Mail
Volume 1 — May 2021
First of all, let me just say, wow! In the three weeks since this publication was founded, I am astonished by how far it has come. I am so proud to have my name share space among the list of writers in this group. Women who are highly educated, creative, genuine, sensitive, compassionate, and driven. Women who are mothers.
Thank you all for joining me on this journey to make motherhood information accessible and free from judgment.
April Highlights
Our publication was founded on April 9th. Within one week we had 28 followers, 20 writers, and 12 published stories. Of the 12 stories, eight had been ‘chosen for further distribution’ (two of the stories were publication information that do not qualify for distribution), which shows the quality of the stories this group is creating.
Now with three weeks of publishing under our belt, we are very excited to say we have grown to over 80 followers! Why? Because the amazing content just keeps coming!

May Insights
In many countries, May is the month we celebrate Mother’s Day. The Motherload’s monthly writer's prompt aims to encourage our mamas to reflect on their experiences. This month's writer’s prompt is:
What is the best mother’s day gift you’ve ever given yourself?
To get all stories published before the big day, please ensure that you submit your draft before the deadline: May 7th. One story will be chosen as the feature story to be displayed in our Writer’s Prompt section for the remainder of the month!
I look forward to seeing how everyone has taken care of themselves on this day in the past. We all know how well deserved it is!
