We’ve had steady snow in the Wasatch and I’m starting to get announcements about ski resorts opening soon. Many of us here at the IMR are starting to get excited about winter and ski season (or, honestly, mourning the end of cycling season). The snow and cold also means we start to think about safety in the mountains. Our Mountain Fellows went looking for mountain people at the 2018 Annual Fall Fundraiser for the Utah Avalanche Center to hear the stories of people who call the mountains their winter playground and who have built a community around keeping that playground safe. You can hear them on the latest episode of “The Mountain Stories Podcast.”

Speaking of the podcast you can now subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google Play, and Stitcher. We’re excited to tell a whole bunch of mountain stories, and if you’re new to the podcast, you can also go back and listen to the older ones. I you like what you hear, we’d love for you to rate the podcast and supply some feedback.

See you in the mountains!
