Burlington Sheriff Jean Stanfield has announced that the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, will be hosting their annual Senior Citizen Expo on Thursday, May 12.

“Each year this event brings together more than four dozen agencies and organizations whose representatives can answer questions on a wide variety of important topics from social security and taxes to health care and recreational opportunities for senior residents,” Stanfield said.

The Expo will be held at the Masonic Home’s Fellowship Center, 1114 Oxmead Road, Burlington Township from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This expo is also a convenient and fun opportunity for seniors to familiarize themselves with the services provided through the County’s Office on Aging; such as the Meals on Wheels program, senior legal services, transportation, home security, and much more” Stanfield said.

“Every year Sheriff Stanfield and our County staff do a tremendous job putting this expo together,” added Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien, liaison to the Office on Aging, “Those who attend can receive free medical screenings, participate in a raffle to win door prizes, have confidential documents shredded, enjoy a free lunch, and much more.”

Those seeking additional information can contact the Sheriff’s Department at (609) 265–3788.
