Lenape High School students in Mrs. Debbie Hodulik’s personal finance class were invited to New York City to be present at Good Morning America when H&R Block CEO Bill Cobb, announced their sponsorship of the “H&R Block Budget Challenge” simulation on national TV Sept. 8.

Lenape was selected because they have participated in “The Budget Challenge” simulation for the past two years. The simulation provides students with an opportunity to learn on-line banking, responsible bill paying, and early retirement saving before they actually have those responsibilities in real-life.

Students had an opportunity to meet with the developers of the simulation program, tour Good Morning America,, have a question and answer session with Cobb, tour the H&R Block office in New York, have a lesson on taxes and participate in a financial trivia game.
