Multiple theft reports top this week’s Mt. Laurel Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On Aug. 24 at 7:30 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Waverly Avenue near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a 19-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

A guest of a hotel on Route 73 reported that someone entered his room and stole a TV, X-Box, and X-Box games during the morning hours of Aug. 24.

A resident on Clifford Court reported that on Aug. 14 someone stole a package containing medication from his roadside mailbox.

On Aug. 26 at 2:45 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to the CVS on Route 38 for a shoplifting complaint. A suspect stole $842 worth of Nicorette gum and fled the store. An officer located the suspect, a 25-year-old man from Burlington City, hiding in the bathroom of a restaurant in the Larchmont Shopping Center. He was arrested, charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.

A resident on the 200 block of Burnam Wood Drive reported that someone entered his unlocked garage and stole a window air conditioning unit and some tools on Aug. 26 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

On Aug. 26 at 11:15 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road near Heather Drive. During the stop officers arrested a 54-year-old man from Maple Shade. He was charged with possession of cocaine, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court hearing.

An employee of a business at 14000 Howard Boulevard someone stole her wallet out of her purse on Aug. 27 between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Later that afternoon the victim’s credit card was used at store in the Centerton Square Shopping Center to make a $185. purchase.

A resident of South Saint Andrews Drive reported that sometime between Aug. 26 and 27, someone entered his unlocked garage and stole approximately $2340 worth of tools used for heating and air-conditioning repair.

On Aug. 27 at 11 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Wawa on Route 73 for an unresponsive male in the bathroom. Arriving officers located the 30-year-old male victim and determined he was suffering from an overdose of heroine. An officer administered Narcan and revived the victim. He was transported to a local hospital by Mt. Laurel EMS for further treatment.

A resident of the 500 block of Garden Way reported that his house was struck by eggs and paint balls on Aug. 27 at 10:30 p.m.. Damage was done to the siding of the house.
