POLICE: Two men arrested for drug possession after motor vehicle violation
The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested s 23-year-old-man of the 1600 block of 47th Street Pennsauken, and a 26-year-old-man of the 100 block of Beechwood Avenue, Maple Shade, on Feb. 25 for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and paraphernalia. They were stopped on SH 38 for a motor vehicle violation at 8:14 p.m. Both were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 27-year-old man of the 200 block of Ohio Street, Union, on Feb. 25 for hindering. He provided false information to police in an attempt to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant. He was lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail.
A resident of the 100 block of Creek Road reported a burglary and theft to a shed. The incident occurred on between Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 26 at 8:30 a.m. Entry was gained by cutting a pad lock. Copper core and ballasts, valued at approximately $2,700 was taken.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 33-year-old man of the 200 block of Boyd Street, Camden, on Feb. 26 for hindering. He provided false information to police in an attempt to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old man of the unit block of Madison Avenue, Maple Shade, on Feb. 27, for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on South Church Street at 1:19 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.
An employee of Dicks Sporting Goods on Nixon Drive reported a theft. Four baseball gloves, valued at $839, were taken from a display case inside the store. The incident occurred on Feb. 27 between 1:15 and 2 p.m. A security wire holding the gloves to the display case was cut.
A member of the YMCA on Centerton Road reported a theft. An iPhone 5, valued at $700 was taken while unattended at the basketball courts. The incident occurred on Feb. 27 sometime between 6:15 and 7:12 p.m.
An employee of Wun’s Family Dentistry reported a theft. Copper piping, valued at $500 was taken from the exterior of the business. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 28 at 12:48 p.m.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 19-year-old man of the 4700 block of Sherwood Terrace, Pennsauken, on Feb. 28 for possession of paraphernalia. He was stopped on Route 73 for a motor vehicle violation at 10:58 p.m. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
