Stolen tablet computers and DWI vehicle crash top this week’s Mt. Laurel Police Report
The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department:
On Jan. 15 at 8 a.m. a female age 46 of Mt. Laurel turned herself in at police headquarters as part of an investigation into credit card fraud.
On Jan. 14 at 11:37 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to the intersection of Mt. Laurel Road and Hainesport Road for a single vehicle crash into a utility pole. The driver, male age 45 of Mt. Laurel, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was not injured and was released pending a court hearing.
A guest at a hotel on Atrium Way reported prescription medication was stolen from his room on Jan. 14 between 7:50 a.m. and 5 p.m. No forced entry to the room was made.
A resident on the 100 block of Willow Turn reported that someone stole a TV and bicycle from an unlocked garage between Jan. 13 and Jan. 14.
On Jan. 13 at 11:03 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to the ShopRite on Nixon Drive for a shoplifting report. During the investigation officers arrested a male age 36 of Mt. Laurel. He attempted to steal $53 worth of merchandise. He was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.
On Jan. 13 at 3:15 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police arrested a male age 29 of Camden. The male turned himself in at police headquarters as part of the investigation into counterfeit money used at Wegman’s on Dec. 28. He was charged with conspiracy to commit forgery and released after posting bail.
A resident of the 1600 block of Larchmont Place reported his vehicle was scratched during the overnight hours of Jan. 12 into Jan. 13.
On Jan. 13 at 4:06 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Briggs Road. During the stop officers arrested a male age 18 of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of marijuana less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.
A resident on Brookwood Road reported they discovered jewelry missing from a bedroom on Jan. 12. No forced entry was made to the residence. A moving company had been on location during the time of the theft.
A resident on the first block of Broadacre Drive reported that their house was broken into between 2:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 12. The investigation revealed that someone forced open a rear door to the residence to gain entry and stole jewelry.
A resident on Tolerance Court reported that two tires on her vehicle were slashed during the early morning hours of Jan. 10.
On Jan. 12 at 12:12 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into suspicious activity at a hotel on Fellowship Road. As a result of the investigation officers arrested two females age 24 of Woodbury. One female was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and loitering for the purpose of engaging prostitution. She was turned over to another law enforcement agency for an outstanding criminal warrant. The other female was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. She was released pending a court hearing.
A resident of a hotel on Diemer Drive reported a computer tablet valued at $600 was stolen from his room between Dec. 16 and Dec. 19. On Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police arrested a female hotel employee age 43 of Camden at police headquarters. She was charged with theft and released pending a court hearing.
On Jan. 11 at 7:40 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Briggs Road. During the stop officers arrested a female age 31 of Pennsauken for several criminal and traffic warrants. She was also found in possession of marijuana. She was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and turned over to another law enforcement agency for the warrants.
A victim reported that his iPhone 6 was stolen from his gym bag that was left unattended while he played basketball at the YMCA on Centerton Road on Jan. 11 at 4 p.m.
A resident on the 100 block of Hartford Road reported that miscellaneous items valued at $160 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between Jan. 9 and Jan. 10.
On Jan. 11 at 8:24 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on the first block of Pheasant Drive for the report of a subject who was seen entering parked vehicles in the driveway. The suspect ran into a wooded area prior to police arrival. With the assistance of K-9 Gunner the suspect a male age 19 of Moorestown was located and arrested. The investigation revealed that the male entered several vehicles and a shed on the property. He stole a coat from one of the vehicles before being scared off by the resident. He was charged with burglary and theft with bail set at $8,000. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
