Woman arrested for disrobing in public in this week’s Mt. Laurel Police report

The following information was reported by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 28-year-old woman, of the 300 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Elizabeth, on Sept. 30 at 1:43 a.m. for disrobing in public and possession of marijuana. While checking a suspicious person in the Westin Hotel parking lot on Fellowship Road an officer found the woman had partially disrobed in the parking lot and was in possession of marijuana. She was charged with disrobing in public and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 43-year-old woman of the unit block of Laurel Drive, Maple Shade, on Sept. 29 at 9:20 a.m. during an investigation at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73. During the investigation it was determined she was wanted by Delaware County, Penn. for violation of probation. She was charged with being a fugitive from justice and committed to the Burlington County Work Release Center in lieu of $5,000 bail.

An employee of Shop-Rite on Ark Road reported 39 shopping carts, valued at $4,500, were taken from outside the business. The actors were observed on video surveillance at 2:34 a.m. on Sept. 28 using a U-haul truck to take the carts.

An employee of Carlucci’s Waterfront on Centerton Road reported the theft of scrap metal, valued at $500, was taken from behind the business. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sept. 29.

A resident of the 1000 block of Harwood Court reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred between 2:30 p.m., Sept. 29, and 10:45 a.m., Sept. 30. A vehicle was keyed causing an estimated $500 in damage.

A member of Planet Fitness on Route 38 reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle and credit card theft. The incident occurred between 7:15 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. Sept. 29. Two credit cards were taken from a wallet in the center console. An unsuccessful attempt to make a fraudulent purchase with one of the stolen cards was made at the Target on Centerton Road.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 32-year-old man of the 100 block of Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, on Sept. 30 at 11:30 a.m. for hindering his own apprehension. The man provided false information to police on a motor vehicle stop. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and released pending a court hearing.

A guest of a hotel on Crawford Place reported a theft that occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on Sept. 30. Jewelry, valued at $4,300, was reported to have been left in a hotel room after checking out.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 19-year-old man of the 100 block of Holiday Street, on Sept. 30 at 11:30 p.m. for possession of marijuana. He was stopped on Route 73 in the area of Church Road for a motor vehicle violation and found to be in possession of marijuana. Smith was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Philadelphia on Oct. 1 for being a fugitive from justice. She was arrested when she appeared for an unrelated court matter at the Mt, Laurel Municipal Court. She was wanted by the Colonial Regional Police in Pennsylvania as well as the Bucks and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Offices in Pennsylvania for probation violations. She was charged with being a fugitive from justice and committed to the Burlington County Work Release Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 27-year-old man of the 400 block of Wayne Drive, Cinnaminson, on Oct. 1 at 4:15 p.m. for theft by deception. The man ran a pool contracting business and received a $400 deposit for work to be done at a residence on Shadow Oak Court on June 4. However, he never completed the work. He was charged with theft by deception and committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $1000 bail.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 25-year-old man from East Orange on Oct. 2 for possession of marijuana. He was stopped on Route 73 near Atrium Way for a motor vehicle violation at 2:05 a.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released pending a court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 39-year-old man from Philadelphia on Oct. 2 for possession of marijuana. He was stopped on Route 73 in the area of Lincoln Drive for a motor vehicle violation at 8:49 a.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released pending a court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 20-year-old man from West Berlin on Oct. 2 for hindering his own apprehension. He was stopped on Route 73 in the area of Clover Road for a pedestrian violation at 11:17 p.m. He provided false information to police to hinder his arrest for an outstanding warrant. The man was charged with hindering his own apprehension and turned over to Gloucester Township Police for the outstanding warrant.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old woman of the 100 block of Estates Road, Pine Hill, on Oct. 2 for drug related offenses. She was arrested during an investigation at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 at 11:17 p.m. She was found to be in possession of cocaine, a hypodermic needle, and drug paraphernalia. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a court hearing.
