When I was young I never had a mirror
My hair was an unruly whirlwind of curls
Untamed
I never saw the need to censor the poetry that formed between my lips
Two crescent moons that bring the sun to its feet
Self love is a continuous journey that we embark on during our time here as transient beings. Learning to love myself as I am has been the most profound journey to self acceptance I’ve ever had.
