This Foreword is for the art book ‘Workers of Tomorrow’ published by art duo DYSPLA. The book documents their public art exhibition of the same title that launched on the 18th of January 2024.

Workers of Tomorrow is DYSPLA’s response to the Festival of Industry being delivered by Enfield Council and funded by the Arts Council’s ‘Place Partnership Initiative’.

I began writing this foreword today — 31 December 2023. All over the United Kingdom, there are Vigils for the murdered Palestinian Journalists, Academics, Creatives and Healthcare Workers — The Pillars of Society. I honour them in this forward, from my bed, paralysed with grief and pray that this indiscriminate assault and violation of Palestinian life, land and dignity — ends immediately while there are still Palestinians left in Palestine so that they might return.
