How Mexican Rapper Snow Tha Product Made Me Fall In Love With Hip-Hop Again

This 100% independent artist raps faster than your faves in English and Spanish and isn’t afraid to get political.

I got into Spanish-language hip-hop because of some stupid YouTube drama. I’ll spare you the details, but to sum up what happened, one of my favorite (problematic) YouTubers, Tana Mongeau, made a storytime video where she claimed that a rapper’s girlfriend tried to kick her ass. That rapper ended up being Snow Tha Product.

After watching Tana’s exaggerated video, I looked up Snow and watched some of her content from all three of her YouTube channels: Snow Tha Product, Everydaydays, and Woke TV.

She had a lot of music videos plus some entertaining vlogs and other content. I realized that not only is her music incredible, but she’s very hardworking and talented in other areas outside of music.

She’s completely independent: producing her own beats unless she’s collaborating with someone, doing all her marketing herself, planning and booking her tours, making merchandise out of her house, recording a podcast, and putting out a lot of videos across three channels with just her, a few family members, and one assistant helping her.
