You are new every single second.

Change starts in the mind.

Change your mind, change your life.

Make change a LIFESTYLE, rather than a temporary decision.

Create GOALS, not resolutions.

How to prepare for the new year…

1. Write down goals

WRITE down & READ your goals every day when you wake up.

2. Create a dream board

Create a dream board of your goals: personal development, family, education, career, productivity, health, love, financial, spiritual.

3. Create affirmations

Create affirmations for yourself that empower you, and help you TAKE ACTION.

4. Focus

Think about your goals constantly. Make them a part of you.

5. Visualize & Meditate

Combine meditation with visualization to manifest your goals.

Meditation helps control the winds over the ocean of emotions.

6. Work harder & smarter

Prioritize and execute the activities that give you the most return for your efforts. Strategize.

7. Seek opportunities

Seek opportunities, don’t wait for them to come to you. Do your research, see what’s out there. Prepare BEFORE opportunities arise.

8. Develop & build your skills/abilities

Learning is LIFELONG. Build your skills by reading books, taking courses, attending seminars, listening to experts, etc.

9. Take personality tests

When you know who you are, you can grow who you are.

10. Practice discipline

Motivation & Inspiration are temporary. Discipline stays.

Reasons why people don’t stick with their resolutions…

Distractions:

Social media, drama, friends, family, etc.

Lack of action:

Limiting thoughts & language:

Self defeating thoughts & language…

“I won’t______”

“Why even try?”

“I’m going to fail”

Not asking the right questions:

Focusing on the result, rather than the process:

Excuses:

Not using time wisely:

Stretching themselves too thin:

Focus your energy on one task at a time.

Not working effectively:

  1. Make a list of activities
  2. Which one needs to be done first?

Which activities give you the highest return from your efforts?

Lack of self-awareness:

When you don’t know who you are, you don’t know how much you can handle.

Not passionate:

Find your fuel source that sparks passion. Keep the fire hot.

No action plan:

Write your action plan down with SPECIFIC steps.

  1. Find the problem
  2. Generate solutions
  3. Pick the best one
  4. Take Action & Implement the solution
  5. Evaluate (Did it work? If not, repeat steps #1–5)

Not moving fast enough:

Pick up the pace.

Comfort:

Get comfortable being uncomfortable

Ignoring life’s signs:

Listen to life’s signs. Life may be trying to tell you something.

Too much free time:

Fill your schedule.

Doing too much, too fast:
