One of the most written about maritime mysteries in history, the Carroll A. Deering ghost ship was found run aground on the infamously treacherous Diamond Shoals, off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina on 31 January 1921. It’s crew was missing with no indication of their whereabouts or why they abandoned ship.
