The community of Singapore will never forget the case of the “Missing McDonald’s Boys” as they have kept their story on the forefront ever since they disappeared in 1986. Toh Hong Huat and Keh Chin Ann, both twelve years old at the time, vanished into thin air. When the fast-food restaurant giant, McDonald’s, posted a reward for $100,000 to entice people to come forward with information about the location of the boys, the moniker “Missing McDonald’s Boys” stuck.

The parents of Toh Hong Huat and Keh Chin Ann have had to live for over three decades without knowing what has happened to their children. The fear of the unknown lingers in their hearts and minds. Theories were developed in the years since the boys’ disappearance, but nothing was substantiated. They would be approximately 47 years old if they are alive today.

Without a Trace

On the 14th of May, 1986, Hong Huat asked his mother if he could meet up with a friend to go to school. This was unusual for him, but it was presumed that he was meeting with his close friend, Chin Ann, so she gave him permission to go.

He was never seen again.
