Mysterious Evidence Found with Dead Body of Recluse

CCTV captured his movements on the night he vanished

Alan Jeal’s washed-up body was found on Perranporth Beach with a pair of headphones and a single sock stuffed inside his mouth. He had injuries to the head, chest, and hands and there were signs indicating he might have drowned. Mystery surrounds his last moments, captured in a series of CCTV recordings.

His case has been ruled suspicious and his death goes unsolved to this day.

Alan Jeal was adopted as a child, along with his brother, Derek, and sister, Linda, and they grew up together in Cornwall. He many passions, including reading, online gaming, cars, beekeeping, and mineral collecting. The 64-year-old was also an avid surfer and photographer.

Jeal’s family says he led a mostly solitary life in Wadebridge, Cornwall. At one time, he held a position as a lab technician for the Glynn Research Institute. Later in life, he got a job as an electrician before eventually retiring in 2003.

He loved his laidback lifestyle and he kept very few friends.
