All unsolved murder cases must be tantalising for police, but few more so than the Lewis Clark Valley Murders that took place between 1979 and 1982 in northern Idaho. That’s because one person seems to link all five deaths — but investigators can’t seem to be able to prove it.

This is the story of a mystery that some believe could be ripe for solving in 2022.

Christina Lee White

Christina Lee White was just 12 when she disappeared on April 28th 1979 from Asotin in Washington. She had attended the Asotin County Fair, then had gone to her friend Rose’s house after feeling sick from the heat.

She telephoned her mother from there, but her mother was unable to go and get her due to not having a car, so she told her daughter to lie down with a wet towel and return home on her bike when she felt better.

Christina didn’t get back in touch, so her mother assumed she had recovered and gone back to the fair. However, when she went to pick her up, she wasn’t there. Christina was never seen again and the bicycle she was riding was…
