The Vanishing of Bride-to-Be Niqui McCowen
The prime suspect was responsible for the fate of a murdered woman found in 1991.
Marilyn Renee Nicole McCowen, or Niqui as she was known by friends and family, went missing on the 22nd of July, 2001 after doing her laundry at a laundromat in Richmond, Indiana. She was seen on security footage leaving the establishment without incident, but not before she mentioned to her mother that she had been harassed by two men.
Twenty years later, her family is still actively searching for her. Without any solid leads to follow, it’s as if Niqui has vanished into thin air.
The twenty-eight-year-old mother was engaged to fiancé, Bobby Webster, and had a beautiful daughter, Payton, from a previous relationship. Payton was only nine years old when her mother went missing.
Niqui and Bobby were to be married only three weeks later and she was excited about starting her new life. That day in July was just like any other for Niqui and it was routine for her to do her laundry at the Richmond Coin and Laundry on Richmond’s South E. Street.
